The Little Snow Maiden is the Father Frost’s grand-daughter, the Russian Santa Claus.
They are always together to distribute the gifts.
These 2 characters appear in different Russian tales and the Russians are very attached to them.
Here, the sculptor’s work is magnificent, both for the headdress and for her long coat, the bird and the branches in her hands. Hand carved from linden wood !.
Elena painted hier a very original and beautiful headdress and costume. She added to the painting a specificwork with golden leaf, which enhances the whole and gives her an incredible beauty.
